Come and join us for a monthly adventure in food, try Scottish traditional cuisine like Lentil Soup, Soda Bred and Cranachan!

Would you like to travel the world from The Crichton? Come and join us for a monthly adventure in food, try new food flavors, experience the unforgettable aroma of new spices, and taste traditional dishes that have been prepared by a native of the country. This is an event open to anyone in the community who enjoys good food and meeting new people. This event will be a chance to share the food and flavors of communities from across the world that now call Dumfries and Galloway home. You will try new foods and meet new people from our local ‘New Scot’ community who have settled in the region. This event helps to share cultural traditions from different groups by celebrating national cuisine and building deeper understanding across cultures and communities. It is also a chance to meet new people and make new friends and help people practice their English and celebrate their home culture. This event is free, but we ask that you book here as places are limited. This event is only possible because of the time and energy of volunteers, so if you can afford to contribute to the costs of the food and make a contribution to the volunteer cook’s time, you can make a donation after your meal. Please let us know when you book if you have any dietary restrictions we should know about, we will do our best to accommodate you.
